International Student Centre
As one of the most internationalized universities in Canada, Saint Mary’s University is pleased to offer support services and advice to international students. At the same time, we welcome your contributions to making our campus a rich multi-national community. The International Centre helps you to make the connections to new friends, new opportunities, and new ideas.
Because the International Centre is part of the University’s Student Services division, the staff can easily provide referrals to help you take advantage of a whole range of services from Career Development to Health Services.
The International Centre offers a variety of opportunities for you to get involved in multicultural as well as Canadian social and cultural activities throughout the academic year. We offer international student orientation programs for new arrivals in September, January, and May, regular student seminars on immigration and visa issues, social activities, including our very popular International Night, and much more!
A good way to get started is to subscribe to the International Centre’s electronic newsletter, for up-to-date news and information that you will need to know as a new student. Just send an e-mail request to international.centre@smu.ca.
